Last night I watched Grand Designs where a guy went £90k over his £160k budget during his house build specifically because he kept adding the latest and greatest stuff as he built the house. Triple glazing went to quadruple glazing, cladding tripled, the boiler was a lower power state of the art blah blah blah.
This is exactly what would happen if I built a house and would likely cause Laura to leave me in the process ;)
These new solar panels are a prime example of the kind of thing that I would end up covering our house in, and costing us a fortune. If I could I would have them everywhere, and drive an electric car (Tesla of course), but for now on our budget I’ll stick with what we’ve got.
